Binding experimentation...

I started working on the Hello Betty binding. I read a tutorial a while back on a flange(sp?) / piped binding and thought I'd give it a try. I like how it looks, however, next time I need to remember to increase the width of my binding strips by 1/8th of an inch otherwise the binding is too tight especially at the corners because of the excess fabric from the flange.

    Neat looking! I have never done that. I thought---maybe I'll do this for Uncle Mark's quilt---then I thought---No, it is for a guy :)

    I wasn't sure what a flange was -- but the picture shows the nice contrast.. I'll have to try that sometime.
